Chorizo and Chickpea Stew

After treating Steve’s parents and ourselves to a Michelin star lunch at Drakes in Ripley, inspiration was flowing. While our six course lunch was probably one of the most delicious meals ever but also the most faffy to prepare from the chicken liver parfait to the mint chocolate truffle and all the pork neck, plaice with smoked salmon and shitake broth goodness in-between, it was time to get back to some half-assed cooking and finally christen our newest piece of kitchen porn.

Steve posted a picture a few weeks ago on Facebook before we started the blog and invited people to suggest recipes. We’re glad to say that Chris Petzny’s suggestion was our favourite and therefore here is the recipe for Chorizo and Chickpea stew he suggested.

We’ve never met a chorizo we didn’t like and I’m writing this while the sauce simmers and the smell is amazing. I can’t wait for dinner tomorrow.
