Scones with blueberry compote

We both work very hard all week (honestly) so at the weekend we try to spoil ourselves on at least one morning with a slightly decadent breakfast. We didn’t make the scones (we could have but we are half-assed) but we did put them in the oven to warm them up.

Orange juice
Creme fraiche

Heat scones. Put blueberries, a dessertspoon of sugar and just a splash of orange juice in a small saucepan. You do not need water as there is enough juice in the blueberries. Heat over a medium heat until ready.
Cut scones. Add a small knob of butter to each, a spoonful of the compote and add creme fraiche to serve.
